About The Position
Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) helps entrepreneurs build long-standing companies, with a history of over 135 IPOs and 200 portfolio companies. The firm manages $19 billion in capital and has a global portfolio including notable companies like Pinterest, Shopify, and Toast. The Analyst Program at Bessemer operates on an apprenticeship model, bringing in ambitious individuals to gain practical experience in venture capital. Analysts, typically joining after undergraduate studies, collaborate with investment professionals globally and work with company founders. The program provides hands-on training, mentorship, and invaluable experience, with analysts actively participating in weekly partnership meetings and making significant contributions to the firm.
Requirements
- Undergraduate college students expecting to graduate between the spring and summer of 2027
- Exceptional academic performance
- Deep curiosity about technology evolution, societal trends and entrepreneurship
- Demonstrated leadership on campus and/or beyond it
- Highly effective communication and persuasion skills
- Unrelenting determination
- Reasonable fluency in fundamental business concepts (accounting, investing)
Nice To Haves
- Any major or course of study is accepted, showcasing a mix of technical builders and entrepreneurial thinkers from across STEM and the liberal arts.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing new companies
- Deep research in the diligence, roadmap, and deal-making process
- Working alongside BVP team members to help portfolio companies flourish
- Interacting with 100+ CEOs to identify seed-stage to Series C startups across various industries
- Conducting due diligence on investment opportunities
- Developing new investment roadmaps
- Identifying exciting sectors and business opportunities
- Building a deep understanding of business models
- Growing an extensive network of entrepreneur and VC colleagues
