About The Position

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. The intern will support the Business Office in accounts payable/account receivable, invoicing, finance, Company Travel policy, and expense reports. Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:

Requirements

  • Major in one of the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, or Business Analytics
  • Junior or Senior (preferred)
  • These positions must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Additionally, some positions may require the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research or engineering internships

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers
  • Investigate and resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies
  • Maintain accounts payable records with high accuracy
  • Assist with generating monthly status and closing report
  • File accounting documents and records
  • Review and process employee expense reports and reimbursement
  • Work with Cost Policy on the administration of Company Travel, Travel & Expense, and Corporate Credit Card Policies
  • Answer employee work travel questions
  • Assist in corporate credit card reconciliation
  • Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time such scanning, receiving the mail, etc.
