UHS Prevention is recruiting a Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Specialist to join our team. This position will work closely with registered student organizations, student leaders, and campus partners to advance mental health promotion and prevention strategies across UW-Madison. This role will provide support and build capacity by delivering, evaluating, and improving suicide prevention and mental health promotion training and resources for students and staff at UW-Madison. It will also involve advising, supporting, and mentoring registered student organizations with missions and work related to mental health and suicide prevention, cultivating interest among these organizations in adopting health-promoting policies, systems, and environments, and maintaining expertise on evidence-based strategies for peer support, peer education, student advocacy, student engagement, and student development. The specialist will collaborate with campus partners to deploy and evaluate health promotion strategies and programs for students and may supervise student employees. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention.
