AECOM is seeking a SUE Field Supervisor. We offer a comprehensive suite of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), private utility locating, and services to our diverse customer base comprised of Engineering, Environmental, Utility, Surveying, Construction, and Infrastructure. This is a hybrid position consisting of expected time spent split 80% field, 20% office. The role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of multiple field crews, ensuring their adherence to AECOM’s strict guidelines for safety and quality. The position also involves creating and maintaining field crew schedules for teams across numerous projects of diverse scope and multiple locations, ensuring projects are completed within communicated schedules and budgets. Key tasks include reading and interpreting utility drawings, as-builts, GIS Files, and other utility records data; initiating, tracking, processing, and documenting utility records requests; utilizing advanced geophysical equipment (like Ground Penetrating Radar), observational skills, and deductive reasoning to identify, designate, and locate utilities; using GPS and Total Station survey equipment with Trimble Data Collectors and applications for surveying utility features; performing field audits for accuracy and completeness; conducting QA/QC of SUE field data; troubleshooting technical problems; communicating effectively with field and office staff, managers, and professionals; acting as an advisor/mentor to junior field staff; and occasional interaction with clients, utility representatives, business owners, and homeowners.
