SUD Qualified Counselor (Imani)

About The Position

The SUD Counselor is responsible for providing all substance use disorder treatment services for Imani clients. This position includes conducting client assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, delivering individual and group counseling, and documenting services in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements. The SUD Counselor collaborates with interdisciplinary staff, maintains professional and ethical standards of practice, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care aligned with organizational goals and treatment protocols.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited college with a Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other closely related field with at least two (2) years of experience in the treatment of rehabilitation of substance abuse.
  • A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other closely related field with three (3) years of experience in the treatment of SUD.
  • Obtain a Missouri Certification at CRADAC level or higher with Degree.
  • Master’s Level LMSW or LCSW would also be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of a therapeutic or psycho-educational nature as part of treatment services.
  • Provide ongoing treatment services as described in the program's procedure manual to target populations
  • Develop individualized treatment plan based on all evaluation and assessment procedures as outlined in program procedure manual.
  • Provide individual therapy for clients.
  • Complete required paperwork according to organizational timeliness.
  • Complete required billing functions accurately and consistent with internal and funder guidelines to support reimbursement for services.
  • Connect clients with referrals as needed.
  • Must complete all annual trainings.
  • Meet productivity requirements.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with other providers and/or programs to best meet client needs.
  • Provide family counseling and consultation as clinically indicated.
  • Attend ADA department and Swope Health Services required meetings.
  • Keep credentials
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.
