About The Position

The Substance Use Disorder/Intensive Outpatient Program Clinician (SUD/IOP) Clinician provides substance use disorder treatment services including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, individual counseling, and group therapy. The clinician works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team to support recovery, maternal wellness, and healthy family outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • CADC credential required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing substance use treatment services
  • Experience facilitating group therapy
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Knowledge of Illinois DHS regulations and behavioral health services
  • Ability to conduct therapy sessions for extended periods
  • Ability to facilitate group therapy sessions
  • Ability to use electronic documentation systems
  • Employees in this role are required to comply with annual TB testing as part of workplace health and safety protocols. The only acceptable exceptions to this requirement are documented medical contraindications or religious objections. Employees who decline TB testing will be required to wear a mask when deemed necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual counseling and group therapy services
  • Facilitate relapse prevention and recovery-focused groups
  • Collaborate with case managers, peer specialists, and medical providers
  • Coordinate referrals for additional services and supports
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record system
  • Ensure compliance with DHS and program documentation requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Contribute to program quality improvement initiatives
