Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the SUD Counselor provides substance use disorder (SUD) prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery support services to youth and adults. Responsibilities include conducting SUD screenings and assessments, developing client-centered treatment and recovery plans, providing individual counseling, group counseling, educational groups, and referrals to community resources. Services are provided in the office, school settings, community, and via telehealth based on client needs. The SUD Counselor uses evidence-based practices to support recovery, reduce barriers to treatment, promote healthy coping skills, and connect clients with appropriate services. The position collaborates with schools, healthcare providers, county agencies, community organizations, and other referral sources to improve access to SUD services and support positive client outcomes. This role will uphold and champion the agency’s mission, vision, and values and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
