About The Position

The Sub-System Technical Lead (SSTL) for Suspension/Wheels/Tires/Mounts will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design, development, and validation activities for Chassis systems for specific vehicle programs. This role involves meeting objectives related to quality, cost, investment, weight, timing, technical specifications, and functional performance. Key responsibilities include coordinating supplier and sourcing activities, resolving issues, authoring source packages, managing engineering changes (including cost collaboration), and overseeing Engineering Design & Development. The position requires matrix leadership of assigned design and development engineers and close collaboration with the vehicle line Chassis Sub-System Technical Manager (SSTM).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree field.
  • 8 years of engineering design and development experience.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Confidence in presenting to Senior Management.
  • Vehicle launch experience.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work & lead in a team environment.
  • MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science Degree.
  • Blackbelt in Reactive problem solving or DFSS.
