Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician

About The Position
BL is expanding and seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering Technician. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relative SUE experience. As well as being prepared to work in the field, performing utility mark-out (locating, subsurface utility engineering) activities. This role may require travel to project sites wherever needed to support business and client needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years relative SUE experience
- Mechanical inclination preferred
Nice To Haves
- Utility mark out is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of utility systems and layout is a plus
- Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) operation is a plus
- Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) operation is a plus
- Experience with CADD drafting is a plus
- Electric or plumbing experience is helpful
Responsibilities
- Electronic detection of subsurface utilities
- Record research
- Documenting work through the preparation of sketches, spreadsheets or written reports
- Ability to work without direct supervision is required
