About The Position

Diamond Grove Center is currently searching for Substitute Teachers on an as-needed basis. This position will be PRN, with hours consisting of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for committed individuals who will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the job with an ability to reach students and create a relationship of mutual trust. Diamond Grove Center is a 85-bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in Louisville, Mississippi. It features individual units for children and adolescents and offers inpatient acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average, 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate healthcare team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital.

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a background check through the state department

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree preferred, or 64 college hours

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction using Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities
• Document student behavior on Q-15 Sheets
• Maintain a safe learning environment
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position
