About The Position
Teachers Now is seeking dependable and adaptable individuals to support local schools across the Bryan, TX area. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while maintaining a schedule that works for you. Substitute Teachers play a critical role in ensuring continuity in the classroom by maintaining structure, supporting students, and following instructional plans in the absence of the regular teacher.
Requirements
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of child care, tutoring, or related experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and guide students through daily instruction
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and productive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and keep students engaged
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, or recess as needed
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior or concerns
- For long-term assignments, you may also take on additional responsibilities such as lesson planning and deeper classroom support.
