Substitute Teacher
About The Position
The Northwest School is a college-preparatory, co-educational independent school near the heart of downtown Seattle, serving roughly 400 students in grades 6 through 12, including 80 international students living in the campus dormitory. Candidates from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. The school seeks substitute teachers in all subject areas for both middle and upper schools. Substitute teachers may be scheduled in advance or called on the day needed for last-minute subbing, with the earliest call time being 7:00 am for a first period class starting at 8:10 am.
Requirements
- Expertise in assigned subject areas including Languages (Spanish, French, Chinese), Math (all levels), Science (Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics), and the Humanities
