About The Position

Christ Presbyterian Academy is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time role involves stepping into classrooms across all grades (PS, LS, MS, US) to maintain instruction using provided materials and to ensure a safe and positive learning environment. Substitute teachers are expected to uphold the school's mission, vision, and values, integrating a Christian worldview into their teaching and classroom management. They must demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and a strong work ethic, adapting to teachable moments and student needs while adhering to school policies and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic
  • Display effective multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Requires standing and walking intermittently throughout a significant portion of the day (up to 2/3 of the day)
  • Physical ability to navigate students to safety in the event of an emergency
  • Commit to performing duties in accordance with the stated mission and purpose of the school, CPA Policies and Procedures Manual, CPA 101 and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
  • Must be an evangelical Christian and an active member of an evangelical Christian church.
