About The Position

This role involves stepping in to teach and manage classrooms when a regular teacher is absent. The substitute teacher is responsible for following lesson plans, maintaining classroom order, and adhering to school policies. This position requires reporting to school administration and documenting daily activities.

Requirements

• Must have 60 hours of secondary education.

• Substitute Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the building principal or school office manager upon arrival.
• Review plans and schedules with the principal, department head, or team leader.
• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teach the lesson outlined in the Substitute Teacher’s guide.
• Oversee pupil behavior in class, during lunch, and at recess.
• Report in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures.
