About The Position

Johnston Middle School is seeking a Long-Term English/Language Arts Substitute Teacher for an anticipated assignment of 6-8 weeks, beginning September 8. This role involves teaching students in grades 6-8, adhering to local curriculum standards, and creating a positive and effective learning environment. The substitute teacher will be responsible for instructional preparation, utilizing various teaching techniques, and assessing student progress.

  • Modifies lesson plans and instructional techniques as required by student learning styles
  • Instructional techniques provide all students the opportunity to learn

Benefits

  • Daily substitute rate: $165 per day; increasing to $185 on 11th consecutive day, $235 on 21st consecutive day
  • $500 incentive to teacher substitutes that work 50 or more days in a semester.
