About The Position
Harambee Christian School is seeking Christ-centered, dependable substitute teachers to provide classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. The substitute teacher will uphold the school’s mission, demonstrate a love for God and children, and maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for students in kindergarten through middle school.
Requirements
- A professing Christian committed to integrating faith into teaching
- High school diploma required
- Flexible, dependable, and able to follow directions
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children preferred
- College coursework or degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans and instruction provided by the regular teacher
- Manage classroom behavior in a manner consistent with school expectations
- Maintain a positive, nurturing atmosphere that reflects Christian values
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
- Adapt to various grade levels and subjects as needed
