About The Position
A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher. They must follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of students. The substitute teacher helps maintain continuity in the educational process and may work across various grade levels and subject areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- A teaching certification or substitute teacher permit may be required
- Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred but not always required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings
- Basic understanding of classroom technology and instructional tools
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field preferred
