About The Position

This is a fixed part-time Substitute Preschool Teacher position at Acelero Learning, supporting early childhood education programs. The role involves working collaboratively with a Lead Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a classroom, fostering school readiness through high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Requirements

High school diploma
Hands-on experience teaching preschool-aged children, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to work closely with co-teachers, family members, and support staff to drive positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

Support the operation of a Head Start classroom, primarily serving children ages 3 to 4.
Work collaboratively with a co-teacher to manage a group of 14 to 20 children.
Nurture responsive teacher-child interactions using the CLASS™ framework.
Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Deliver age-appropriate, standards-aligned instruction.
Monitor developmental progress through ongoing assessments.
Tailor learning experiences to meet diverse needs.
Actively engage families as partners in their child’s development.
Contribute to a team culture centered on continuous learning, professional development, and improvement.
