About The Position

Teachers Now is hiring dependable Substitute Teachers to support schools across the San Antonio area. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a difference in the community. No teaching certification is required; individuals with at least 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree may qualify. As a Substitute Teacher, you will help maintain a positive learning environment when regular teachers are absent by following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Maintain a respectful and organized learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and encourage participation
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
• Assign and review classwork and homework
• Record attendance and communicate concerns to school staff
• Support school staff in maintaining a safe and productive classroom
• For long-term assignments, substitutes may also develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
