About The Position

University Christian School is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teaching staff. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a Christ-centered, safe, and engaging learning environment where students can continue to grow academically and spiritually. This location is a VPK - 3rd Grade school.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive, respectful environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the values and mission of University Christian School.
• Must pass a Level 2 background check and any additional screenings required by UCS.

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain classroom order and a positive learning atmosphere aligned with UCS values and behavioral expectations.
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Adapt to various grade levels and subjects as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
• Uphold the mission of University Christian School to provide a Christ-centered education that equips students spiritually, academically, and socially.
