About The Position
Kokua Education is seeking passionate individuals to become substitute teachers in the Losoya and surrounding San Antonio area for the 2026-27 school year. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn up to $172 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives. Requirements
- At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
- Completed 48+ college credit hours.
- Confident in managing a classroom of students.
- Willing to step in where needed.
- Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments).
- Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities
- Manage a classroom of students.
- Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
- Cover lesson plans and act as a role model for students.
- Add representation in classrooms by sharing unique experiences.
