About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for approximately 13 hours per week, as needed, at our Spring, Texas location. This role is called upon when regular staff are unavailable due to illness, but the substitute has the flexibility to decline assignments. No formal teaching certification or prior teaching experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional understanding of the student-teacher dynamic, and a commitment to living the Catholic faith. All staff are required to undergo a background check and RCA Safe Child training.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all appropriate sacraments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience homeschooling.

• Ministry experience in a Catholic parish.
• Experience teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
• Experience teaching one's own children.
