About The Position

Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS) is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide effective instruction to students according to the teacher’s lesson plan. This role involves performing extra-curricular duties of the missing teacher, such as recess duty and car line help. The Substitute Teacher must have a flexible schedule and be adaptable to varying classroom grade assignments. This position requires professional and courteous communication with staff members and parents, ensuring attendance reports are completed accurately and timely, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality. The Substitute Teacher will also follow all campus rules and guidelines for safety and discipline, and perform other duties as assigned. A commitment to and full support of the missional and organizational standards, including Core Values, Mission Statement, Doctrinal Statement, and Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs, is essential.

High School Diploma
AA, BA, BS, MA or PhD

Responsibilities

Provide effective instruction to students according to the teacher’s lesson plan
Perform extra-curricular duties of the missing teacher; i.e. recess duty, car line help, etc.
Create a positive classroom environment
Communicate with staff members and parents professionally and courteously
Communicate with absent teacher on student discipline and performance
Ensure attendance report is completed accurately and timely
Demonstrate high level of confidentiality
Follow all campus rules and guidelines for safety and discipline
Other duties as assigned
