About The Position
Teachers Now is hiring Substitute Teachers to support local schools throughout the College Station, TX area. If you're looking for a flexible opportunity to gain classroom experience while making a positive impact, this Substitute Teacher position offers paid training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for long-term assignments. As a Substitute Teacher, you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by following lesson plans, supporting students, and creating a positive learning environment when the regular teacher is absent.
Requirements
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associate's Degree
- At least one year of childcare, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or related experience preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Passion for supporting student learning in a K-12 school environment
Responsibilities
- Follow teacher lesson plans and guide students through daily instruction
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and productive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and keep students engaged throughout the school day
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
- Communicate effectively with school administrators and staff regarding student behavior or concerns
- For long-term Substitute Teacher assignments, additional responsibilities may include lesson planning and providing enhanced classroom support.
