About The Position

The Ecclesial Schools at St. Albans and Northland Church each offer a rich learning atmosphere, vibrant Christian community, and classical liberal arts curriculum to children of diverse social and economic backgrounds. Substitute classroom teachers bring this mission and vision to life each day by supporting classroom instruction, building relationships with students and their parents, and being committed to forwarding the mission and vision of the Ecclesial Schools Initiative.

Requirements

Passionate about the mission and vision of The Ecclesial School
Maintains positive and professional tone with parents, students, families, and guests
Experience working with grammar- or elementary aged children in an educational setting, in or outside of the school
Experience in planning activities for grammar- or elementary aged children
Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (l2-20 pounds).
Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination.
Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds.
Tasks are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, violence, disease or pathogenic substances.
