About The Position

Kokua is seeking passionate individuals to become substitute teachers in Isanti and the surrounding Minneapolis area for the 2025-2026 school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community, help address the teacher shortage, and provide students with diverse role models. Kokua, meaning 'to come together to fulfill a need' in Hawaiian, aims to connect students with empowering classroom role models.

Requirements

• 6 months experience working with students (tutoring, camps, volunteer and other experience counts!)
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Current residence in or willingness to commute to Minneapolis
• MN Substitute Teaching License or Educators license
• Confidence to manage a classroom of students
• Ability to pass state & federal background check
• Have reliable means of transportation

• Pay up to $210 daily with weekly paychecks; range depends on credentials & experience
