Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, supporting a safe, respectful, and faith‑centered learning environment. This role ensures continuity of instruction while upholding the academic and behavioral expectations of Catholic education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and follow written lesson plans
• Professional demeanor and flexibility
• Commitment to Catholic values and educational mission
• Ability to meet all background check and Safe Environment requirements

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and classroom routines left by the regular teacher
• Maintain a structured, respectful, and orderly classroom environment
• Supervise students during instructional periods, transitions, lunch, and recess as assigned
• Uphold school policies, classroom expectations, and behavior management procedures
• Communicate student progress, concerns, or incidents to school administration
• Adapt instruction as needed to meet student learning needs
• Foster positive relationships with students rooted in Catholic values
• Follow all school safety procedures and confidentiality expectations
