About The Position
St Joseph Catholic School is seeking talented individuals who desire a flexible work schedule and are available on an on-call basis as substitute teachers. This is a great opportunity to share your gifts in support of student learning in a Christ-centered environment.
Requirements
- Obtain a Washington State Substitute Teacher Certificate
- Have experience with school aged children
- Demonstrate rapport with students and teachers
- Complete a background check and Safe Environment training per archdiocesan policy
Responsibilities
- Delivers pre-planned lessons and instructional activities left by the regular teacher
- Manages classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures
- Provides a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and respect
- Takes attendance and maintains accurate records of student activity
- Supervises students during classroom transitions, lunch and recess
- Adapts to different classrooms, grade levels and subject areas as needed
