About The Position

Set your own schedule, earn up to $27 hourly and make a real difference in your community. Become a substitute teacher in Cicero and surrounding Chicago area and create powerful moments that shift students’ perception of what’s possible. Requirements

At least 6 months working with students in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
Associate's Degree (or 60+ credit hours).
Hold an IL Substitute Teaching License or Paraprofessional license.
Pass state & federal background checks.
Are a current resident or willing to commute to Chicago.
Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.
Cannot be on the CPS do not hire list.

Responsibilities

Manage a classroom of students.
Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
Add representation and help kids learn from your unique experiences.
