About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking passionate individuals to become substitute teachers in the Leon Valley and surrounding San Antonio area. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $172 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives. We are currently accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year, and the interview process can begin immediately. Requirements

• At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Completed 48+ college credit hours.
• Confident in managing a classroom of students.
• Willing to step in where needed.
• Pass state & federal background checks.
• Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach in K-12 classrooms.
• Manage a classroom of students.
• Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
