About The Position

Villa Bella Expeditionary School is seeking a Substitute Teacher to work up to four days per week. This part-time position offers a pay range of $200 - $245 per day for 8.5-hour days. The role involves teaching all academic content areas and requires exemplary classroom management, organization, and technology skills. The ideal candidate will be able to differentiate instruction for diverse learners and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Exemplary classroom management.
  • Exemplary organization skills.
  • Wide variety of writing program training.
  • Strong reading, writing, and math background.
  • Willingness and ability to teach all academic content areas (reading, writing, math, social studies).
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a strong and ambitious team environment.
  • Exemplary technology skills necessary for the school environment.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for all levels and types of learners (i.e., learning modalities, multiple intelligences, ESS, ESL, GT).
  • Ability to work with a diverse, multicultural community.
  • Small group reading instruction experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must upload a copy of your current unofficial transcripts or high school diploma, three reference names and email addresses and a copy of your teaching license or substitute authorization for the Colorado Department of Education if applicable.
  • Must be eligible for a 1-year substitute authorization.
  • Mandatory background checks including fingerprinting.
  • Verification of qualifications and reference checks.
  • Adherence to Colorado Education Laws.
  • Must be eligible for a 1-year substitute authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Colorado Teaching License or be eligible for Colorado Teaching License OR Colorado Substitute Authorization.
