As a Substitute Teacher at Celebree School of Bristow, you will step in to support classrooms and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. You will follow daily routines, assist with age-appropriate learning activities, and provide quality care that aligns with our commitment to early childhood education and development. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and thrive in dynamic, team-oriented environments.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to pass a background check and meet local Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Flexibility and reliability for on-call or short-notice assignments.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
Physical ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
Assist lead teachers in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Follow established lesson plans and daily routines.
Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling.
Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs.
Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and a safe environment.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents.
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Present a positive and professional image at all times, adhering to uniform requirements.
