Catholic Substitute Teacher
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Substitute Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 13 hours per week, as needed. This role is called upon when regular staff are out sick. No formal teaching certification or experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. The academy offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. This is an hourly position with provided childcare/nursery. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be supplied, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. All staff undergo a background check and training.
Requirements
- Must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Must have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
- Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
- Must complete a background check and training.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good organization.
- Timeliness.
- A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
