About The Position

American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah, is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to support classroom instruction when teachers are absent. This is an on-call position and offers the opportunity to work with students in a structured, faith-based academic environment. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a formal school setting.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Interest in assisting with AHS extracurricular athletics programs.
• Experience as a player or coach in specific sports.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a respectful and orderly classroom environment.
• Supervise students responsibly.
• Communicate effectively with school administration and staff.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage classroom routines and assist students with assigned work during the teacher's absence.
