The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) invites you to join our team as a Substitute Teacher, working with at-risk adolescents in residential facilities managed by the Department of Youth Services (DYS). This is an opportunity to experience teaching in a unique alternative setting. You will work with small classes, typically averaging just 5 students, ensuring a personalized and engaging educational experience. As a Substitute Teacher, you will receive prepared work plans to guide your instruction and benefit from behavioral support provided in the classroom. You will become part of a progressive and innovative non-profit organization dedicated to personalized education for youth across Massachusetts DYS programs. Our students are future change agents—budding artists, scientists, musicians, and neighbors—eager to be seen, experience hope, and contribute. We believe everyone is a learner, and we seek educators who value these crucial attributes. To support student success, a wide range of clinical, behavioral, and guidance services are available, ensuring comprehensive support for both students and educators. Join us in this truly rewarding work and help shape the future of youth in need.
