About The Position

Beanstalk is hiring Substitute Teachers for their Early Care and Education Program. The position involves planning for the supervision and instruction of enrolled children, and may include supervising an instructional assistant or volunteer. This role specifically works with children ages 2-3.

Requirements

• 12 core units of early childhood education (ECE) or child development (child/human growth & development, child/family/community or child and family relations and program and curriculum).
• Preventative Health Practices (16 hours).
• Current Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher, issued by California Teacher Credentialing.
• 1 year in an ECE or school age center setting.
• Applicants must have one (1) year experience working as an ECE teacher including lesson planning and child assessment.
• Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and Pediatric First Aid as well as Health and Safety in the child care setting course.
• Must have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record, a valid CA Driver License, Registered and Insured Vehicle.
• Fingerprint and criminal clearances required.
• Pre-employment physical, TB clearance, current measles and pertussis vaccines required.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Infant/Toddler units & experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans in collaboration with Center Supervisor and/or Master Teacher for the supervision and instruction of enrolled children.
• Responsible for supervision of an instructional assistant, or volunteer as assigned.
• Working with children ages 2-3.
