About The Position
The Substitute Teacher role at Pinnacle Academy is an on-call, as-needed position. Opportunities to substitute will vary depending on the absence of a teacher. Pinnacle Academy is a public charter school partnered with National Heritage Academies (NHA), which operates over 100 schools in nine states serving over 65,000 students. NHA schools are designed to eliminate the achievement gap and prepare students for success in college, career, and life.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements for being a Substitute.
Responsibilities
- Ability to execute a lesson plan that is assigned by the teacher.
- Provide clear instruction and assist scholars in understanding a subject matter while maintaining discipline and control of the classroom.
- Demonstrate moral focus and personal values to all stakeholders.
- Self-starter with effective classroom management skills, strong leadership, and a passion for educating students.
