Requirements

  • Strong classroom management skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Ability to operate computer/office equipment
  • Colorado/other state Teaching Certificate or Substitute License preferred
  • Prior teaching/classroom experience strongly preferred
  • General physical demands such as sitting, walking, outdoor supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, however non-degreed applicants may be considered based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Work in the absence of the teacher to aid students in understanding content/subject matter.
  • Follow procedures, lesson plans and curriculum as designated by the classroom teacher.
  • Utilize classroom management skills to maintain a productive, healthy learning environment.
  • Enforce and comply with administration policies, rules and safety procedures set by the school.
  • Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement teaching.
  • Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
  • Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
  • Take attendance and document daily notes.
  • Ensure the classroom is kept clean and orderly.
  • Create a summary of the day for the teacher for when he/she returns.
