About The Position
The School District of Onalaska is seeking substitute teachers. This is an on-call position for open teacher positions that occur on an infrequent/daily basis throughout the school year. Applicants choose the hours/days they are available. No nights or weekends, school day only.
Requirements
- A minimum of an associate's degree or bachelor's degree.
- Ability to obtain a current Wisconsin DPI teaching or substitute teaching license.
- Must obtain a current Wisconsin DPI teaching or substitute teaching license.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or school administration.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
- Adhere to school district policies and procedures.
Benefits
- Pay is $150.00 per full day and $75.00 for a half-day.
- If you sub 20 consecutive days, each day after is at the base teacher rate (2026-27 rate is $274.31 per day).
