About The Position

Maayan Torah Day School, a warm and nurturing Jewish private school, is seeking caring, creative, and dependable substitute teachers for its early childhood program. This program serves children from infancy through 5 years of age. This role is ideal for college students, part-time workers, retirees, or anyone with a flexible schedule looking for extra hours. The school is building a substitute list to cover planned absences and unexpected illnesses. Substitute opportunities may arise the evening before or the morning of, requiring flexibility. The school works with substitutes to find a schedule that suits both the individual and the school's needs, offering on-call opportunities, scheduled shifts, or a combination. Many substitutes have transitioned into permanent roles within the school.

Requirements

Enrollment in the Oregon Criminal History Registry
Food Handler's Card
Infant/Toddler CPR & First Aid Certification
Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect certification
Introduction to Health and Safety certification
Safe Sleep for Infants and Toddlers certification
Prevention Is Better Than Treatment certification
Foundations for Learning certification
