About The Position

Mannahouse Academy (MCA) is seeking reliable, faith-driven Substitute Teachers to support children in Early Childhood and Preschool when regular teachers or assistants are unavailable. This role is vital in maintaining both academic excellence and a Christ-centered classroom environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred)
• PreK Teaching/classroom experience (preferred)
• Active Christian faith and alignment with school’s mission
• Ability to teach students, with high level of classroom management skills
• Dependable, flexible, and servant-hearted
• Must meet qualifications of Rules for Certification of Child Care Centers established by OR Employment Dept Child Care Division (section 414-300-0110) or qualifications of WAC Minimum Licensing Requirements for Child Care Centers established by WA Dept of Early Learning (section 170-295-1040).

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons based on teacher-provided plans, or assist regular teacher with daily lessons
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas
• Uphold Christian values in behavior and instruction
• Communicate clearly with staff and administration
• Ensure a safe, respectful learning environment
