About The Position

Busybee Teachers is seeking dependable and dedicated Substitute Teacher Assistants for Head Start classrooms in Hillsborough County (Tampa, FL). These roles support early childhood classrooms serving children aged 0-5. We offer flexible assignments based on your availability, suitable for those seeking occasional work or consistent classroom experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 40-Hour DCF Introductory Child Care Certification
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Fire Extinguisher Certification
• Eligible for Level II background screening
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working with children ages 0–5

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms when regular staff is unavailable
• Assist with daily classroom routines and activities
• Support a safe, structured, and engaging environment
• Help meet the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children
• Work alongside lead teachers and classroom staff as needed
