About The Position

Little Lukes is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teacher Assistants. This 12-month position is in an inclusion preschool classroom, offering a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm, based on your availability. We require at least 2-3 days per week availability. This role is ideal for individuals who love young children, are animated, and enjoy working collaboratively. You will have the opportunity to provide enjoyable and meaningful activities for children during an important developmental stage, sharing your joy and making a difference in their lives.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
Must enjoy children!
High energy level and caring personality.
At least 2-3 days per week availability.

Nice To Haves

NYS TA Certification preferred but not required
Experience with special needs children and preschool aged children a plus
Babysitting experience helpful but not required
Early Childhood Education, speech pathology and special education majors encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide enjoyable and meaningful activities for children in an inclusion preschool classroom.
Work collaboratively with a team.
Assist in the care and development of young children.
Open the center as early as 7 am or close the center until 5:30 pm, depending on schedule and availability.
Adapt to varying hours each week based on the flexible schedule.
