About The Position
School Professionals is hiring substitute teachers and teacher aides to work in any of New York City’s five boroughs and/or parts of Long Island. Short-term and long-term assignments may be available. The role is presented by School Professionals, a division of the TemPositions Group of Companies, which offers opportunities with private, charter, Catholic, and independent schools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 months of experience in a teaching, childcare, or analogous position serving preschool through college; alternatively, a semester of student teaching, enrollment in a Master’s in Education program, or completion of a Master’s in Education.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the professional duties of a classroom teacher.
- Adhere to school policies and School Professionals policies.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Report for scheduled work reliably and punctually.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
