About The Position

TES Staffing is seeking enthusiastic Substitute Teacher Aides to join the East Irondequoit Central School District for the 2025-2026 school year. This per diem, entry-level opportunity offers hands-on experience working with children, making a lasting impact in the community. Every day presents a new challenge and a chance to engage with students in various capacities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
1 year working with children, in education, or with people with disabilities OR 30 college credit hours.
Must pass a NYS Education Department background screen.
Able to perform all duties required.

Responsibilities

Support students in the classroom, one-on-one, or in small groups.
Proctor tests.
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and playgrounds.
Assist with classroom behavior management using positive strategies.
Help set up projects, demonstrations, and displays.
Share talents in areas like foreign language, arts, music, and more to assist the lead teacher in instruction.
Use or learn basic computer skills.
Ride the school bus and support students during field trips and vocational training.
Assist students with disabilities with personal care and mobility, including personalized support to students with special needs.
Help with record keeping and general clerical duties.
Work as a team to support a diverse student population.
