About The Position

On a substitute basis, this role supervises the personnel on an assigned shift under the general supervision, guidance, and instruction from the Security Manager. The position is for internal candidates (Existing Employees) only.

Requirements

  • Ability to plan, assign and directing the work each employee is to be engaged in various aspects of fire, safety, and security operations.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with a variety of skilled/unskilled, professional and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to think and work fast in emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must have computer skills.
  • Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one year related experience.
  • Is sensitive to Native American Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities to staff.
  • Understands and enforces all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the Department.
  • Keeps staff informed of promotions and events, changes to Policy & Procedures and other necessary information.
  • Informs Security Manager of shift activity by maintaining operational and employee records.
  • Makes recommendations regarding personnel issues to the Department Manager.
  • Assists staff with job duties and responsibilities, as necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  • Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  • Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  • Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  • Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
