About The Position

O2B Kids is seeking Substitute Teachers who enjoy working with children and are available to support their schools on an as-needed basis. This flexible role allows individuals to pick up shifts when they are available while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Substitute teachers may work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or pre-K students, creating a positive and engaging environment for young children to learn, explore, and have fun. The ideal candidate has specific days of open availability, consistent blocks of morning availability, or consistent blocks of afternoon availability.

Requirements

• Ability to be flexible and available to pick up shifts as needed
• Comfortable working with different age groups depending on the needs of the school
• Reliable transportation to travel to assigned school locations when scheduled
• Willing to train!

Nice To Haves

• Specific days of open availability, consistent blocks of morning availability, or consistent blocks of afternoon availability
• CDA, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with children ages 0–13

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms working with children ages infant–5 years old
• Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by classroom teachers
• Maintain licensing and safety requirements
• Assist with required assessments and observations when applicable
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Engage children in fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate activities
