About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice instructor to substitute teach at The Music Box in Lafayette, LA whenever the need arises. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! Must be available January 18th to February 25th 2027 on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, music education, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $20-$26/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Requirements

Degree in music performance, music education, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience
Demonstrated love of teaching
Experience working with young musicians
Robust appreciation for punctuality
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a routine background check
