About The Position

Support the Nutrition Department by assisting with the preparation, service, and cleanup of food, equipment, and work areas to provide safe, nutritious, and efficient meal services for students and staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write English, perform basic arithmetic and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to stand continuously and have the capacity to lift 50 lbs safely
• Ability to relate to children
• Possess good communicative, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test will be required upon offer.

Nice To Haves

• Food service preparation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food preparation and acceptability of food before and after preparation
• Responsible for maintaining serving line
• Responsible for operation, cleaning, and maintaining foodservice equipment
• Maintains appearance appropriate to job responsibilities (wear appropriate uniform clothing, hair net covering on the hair, and comfortable & safe rubber-soled shoes)
• Perform job-related duties as requested by supervisor
