Substitute Nurse: Special Assignment
About The Position
Silver Lake Regional High School (SLRHS) is seeking a substitute nurse to work per diem with our Allied Health Program, supporting students at Bay Path Nursing Home for their clinical hours. The Allied Health program provides Grade 11 students with clinical experience as they work towards their CNA certification. Students in this program are required to be supervised by Silver Lake staff in accordance with state-mandated ratios. The Allied Health teacher, who holds an RN license, is the on-site lead supervisor. This substitute nurse position will provide a supporting role at the nursing home, assisting as students gain on-site clinical experience.
Requirements
- LPN or RN license required.
- Ability to work weekdays through the winter and spring.
- Availability for up to 16 days total.
Responsibilities
- Provide support at the nursing home as students gain on-site clinical experience.
- Supervise students in accordance with state-mandated ratios, under the lead supervision of the Allied Health teacher (RN).
